Issue:
When connecting a Yealink phone to a switch port, the phone fails to obtain an IP address automatically.

Steps to Resolve:
Reboot Network Devices:
- Restart your router, switches, and the phone itself.
- Allow sufficient time for each device to reboot and re-establish connections.
Check the Network Cable and Environment:
- Connect the network cable to the phone.
- If the phone still cannot get an IP address, test the cable with another network device.
- If the second device also fails to get an IP address, inspect the cable and verify your network setup.
Reset Phone Configuration:
- If the network cable works with other devices, perform a factory reset on the phone.
- After the reset, check if the phone can obtain an IP address. Incorrect configurations may have caused the issue.
Assign a Static IP Address:
- If the phone still fails to get an IP address, configure a static IP address:
- Connect a PC to the phone's PC port.
- Manually set a static IP address for both the phone and the PC.
- Test if the phone is accessible using the static IP address.
- If the phone still fails to get an IP address, configure a static IP address:
Check VLAN and LLDP Settings:
- If the phone is accessible using a static IP address, the issue might be VLAN-related.
- Disable the phone’s LLDP (Link Layer Discovery Protocol) feature and test again.
Inspect for Hardware Issues:
- If the phone remains inaccessible after following these steps, it is recommended to take the phone to a different location such as home or office, and if it still doesn't work, it is likely a hardware problem.
