Holding and resuming calls is one of the most basic yet essential features on your Yealink phone. It allows you to temporarily place a caller on hold and then return to the conversation when you're ready.
How to Place a Call on Hold
During a call, simply press the Hold button.
- The call will be placed on hold, and the caller will hear hold music (if configured by your system admin).

The display will show that the call is on hold, and the line key associated with the call will change color, indicating the held status.
How to Resume a Held Call
- To resume the call, press the Resume button on the phone display.
- This will immediately reconnect you with the caller.

Additional Notes:
You can place multiple calls on hold by pressing the Hold button during each active call. Simply select the desired call from the display and press Resume when you’re ready to speak again.
The system allows you to switch between held calls by selecting the one you want to speak to and pressing Resume.
The hold function works both for internal and external calls, making it a versatile tool for managing your conversations.
