To send faxes using Vantact's eFax service, you must first authorize your email address with the service. Each eFax account can authorize up to five email addresses to send faxes. To authorize your emails, send a request to support@vantact.com with the list of emails you wish to authorize.
If you attempt to send a fax from an unauthorized email address, you will receive the following error message:
"This e-mail address is not authorized by the server to send faxes. Please contact your system administrator."
Sending Faxes:
Compose Email: Open your preferred email client and create a new email.
Recipient: In the "To" field, enter the recipient's fax number followed by @fax.vantact.com (e.g., phonenumber@fax.vantact.com).
Cover Letter: The message body will be treated as the cover letter preceding the fax content. Include any necessary information here. Avoid including images in the message body, as some fax machines may reject such faxes.
Attach File: Click on "Attach File" to add the document you wish to fax. Accepted file formats include PDF, DOC, DOCX, TXT, TEXT, JPG, JPEG, and TIFF.
Insert File: After selecting your file, click "Insert" to attach it to your email.
Review and Send: Double-check your fax details. Click "Send" to dispatch your fax.
Confirmation: You will receive an email from the fax server confirming the status of your fax. A successfully delivered fax will include an attachment named FaxedImage.pdf for your reference.
If your fax fails to deliver, you will receive a "NOT DELIVERED" notification.
