Play Recordings (*56)

The Play Recordings (*56) feature allows users to listen to recorded messages associated with their extension or a specified account. This feature is useful for reviewing voicemail messages or recorded calls.

*Using Play Recordings (56):

  • Extension Recordings:

    • Dial *56 without specifying a number. This will start playing recorded messages for the extension from which the code was called. Playback starts with the most recent message and moves backward in time.
  • Account Recordings:

    • Dial *56 followed by the account number (e.g., *56400 for account ACD 400). This will play back all recordings associated with the specified account.

Key Functions During Playback:

  • #: Move to the previous recording.
  • *: Move to the next recording.
  • 7: Skip ten recordings forward.
  • 8: Restart the current recording from the beginning.
  • 9: Skip ten recordings backward.
  • 1: Reverse playback. Pressing multiple times increases playback speed.
  • 2: Stop and resume playback.
  • 3: Fast forward playback.

Permission Requirements:

  • Ensure that users have the necessary permissions to play back recordings. Permissions can be managed through Extension Call Permissions.

By using (*56), users can effectively manage and review recorded messages, enhancing communication tracking and retrieval.
