How to Transfer Calls on Yealink Phones

This guide covers how to perform different types of call transfers, including Blind Transfers, Transfers to External Numbers, and Voicemail Transfers.

Attended (Warm) Transfer

An attended transfer allows you to speak with the recipient before completing the transfer while the caller remains on hold.

  1. While on a call, press the Transfer button.
The call will be placed on hold.

  1. Enter the extension or phone number of the person you’re transferring the call to, then press #.
  2. You can now consult with the other party.
  3. When ready, press Transfer again to complete the process.

Blind Transfer

A blind transfer sends the call directly to the recipient without any interaction.

  1. Press the Transfer button.
  2. Dial the extension or external number of the recipient.
  3. Press Transfer to complete the transfer.

Transferring to External Numbers

You can also transfer calls to an external number, such as a mobile phone.

  1. Follow the same steps as a blind transfer or attended transfer, but instead of dialing an extension, enter the 10-digit phone number of the external recipient.

Voicemail Transfer

This type of transfer sends the caller directly to someone's voicemail without ringing their phone.

  1. Press the Transfer button.
Your caller will be placed on hold.

  2. Dial 8 + the extension of the person you wish to transfer the call to.

  3. Press Transfer to complete the process.

Example: To transfer a call directly to extension 111’s voicemail, dial 8111 and press Transfer.
