How to Setup Acrobits Softphone for Vantact on Your Smartphone

Vantact supports seamless integration with various applications, making it easy for you to connect to your extension, make and receive calls, manage voicemails, and adjust settings directly from your smartphone. This guide will walk you through setting up Acrobits Softphone specifically for use with Vantact's PBX.

  1. Download the Acrobits Softphone Application:

    • Contact support@Vantact.ca to request your login credentials. These credentials are necessary to configure the Acrobits Softphone with your Vantact PBX.
  3. Configure Acrobits Softphone:

    • Once you have downloaded and installed the Acrobits Softphone app, open it on your smartphone.
    • Navigate to the settings or preferences section of the app where you can add a new account.
  4. Enter Account Information:

    • Follow these steps to enter your Vantact PBX account details:
      • Domain/Server: Enter your PBX domain or server address provided by Vantact.
      • Username: Your extension/account username.
      • Password: Your PBX portal password (not your SIP registration password).
      • Display Name: Your extension/account name.
      • Authorization Name: Usually the same as your Username.
      • SIP Server: Check with Vantact support if required.
      • Outbound Proxy: Check with Vantact support if required.
      • Transport: Typically set to Auto or UDP.
  5. Save Settings:

    • After entering all required information, save your settings.
  6. Testing and Usage:

    • Make a test call to ensure everything is set up correctly. You should be able to make and receive calls using your Vantact extension through the Acrobits Softphone app.
