How to set up remote assist with our support team

Receive assistance by navigating to https://assist.vantact.com

  1. Accessing assist.vantact.com:

    • Access any browser and locate the search bar
    • Click the link above or enter "assist.vantact.com" into your browsers search bar

    • Enter assist.vantact.com into the search bar and hit enter, or click the link above to automatically enter and go to the website
    • Once loaded, the website should display an area to enter a 4 digit code

    • The support agent will relay you the 4 digit code 
    • Once the code is entered, click the "allow remote control" button



  2. Downloading remote support executable HelpWire (Windows):

    • You should now see a screen indicating that HelpWire Client is now being downloaded

    • The HelpWire client should start downloading automatically and indication of completion will show up in the top right

    • If the client does not start automatically select the option to manually start the download in the middle


  3. Downloading remote support executable HelpWire (macOS):

    • You should now see a screen indicating that HelpWire Client is now being downloaded, however it will be the default Windows version

    • Select the option to download the macOS version, once complete the executable will show up in the top right 



  4. Starting the HelpWire client and approving remote connection (Windows):

    • Double click the downloaded file to launch the HelpWire client

    • If you are unable to locate the client click the windows key on your keyboard (it will look like a square with a + sign in the middle
    • It will and start a search on your computer
    • Click the yellow folder icon called "file explorer"
    • If you are unable to locate the folder, enter "file" into the search and click open 
    • With file explorer open, select downloads to locate your most recent downloads
    • Double click the most recent HelpWire Vantact Support.exe, if you have multiple this will be the one with the largest number
    • A popup will appear requesting access
    • Click allow
    • Select grant access
    • Once the agent connects you will see an update on the status "remote access granted to operator"
    • After the session ends the support will end the session but feel free to close HelpWire or revoke permission at your own discretion


  5. Starting the HelpWire client and approving remote connection (macOS):

    • Launch the application from your downloads 

    • A popup will appear requesting access
    • Click allow
    • You may attempt to grant access, but will most likely require to change settings if this is your first remote session

    • In the HelpWire chat you will find instructions on how to grant the required permissions
    • After reopening HelpWire, select grant access
    • Once the agent connects you will see an update on the status "remote access granted to operator"
    • After the session ends the support will end the session but feel free to close HelpWire or revoke permission at your own discretion


If you have followed all these steps, you will have successfully started a remote session and allowed Vantact to provide remote assistance.
