By default, the ring duration for notifications in the VANTACT Desktop app is governed by the Windows operating system. Follow these steps to adjust the duration:
Access Ease of Access Display Settings:
- Click the Start button on your Windows taskbar.
Search for Ease of Access Display Settings:
- In the search bar next to the Start menu, type "Ease of Access Display Settings" and select the corresponding icon when it appears.
Adjust Notification Duration:
- Scroll down to the section labeled "Show notifications for:" within the Ease of Access Display Settings.
Select Preferred Duration:
- Choose your preferred notification duration. For extended ring notification visibility, select 30 seconds or more.
Apply Changes:
- After selecting your preferred duration, the changes are applied automatically.
Windows 11
By default the duration of the notification is set to 5 seconds which may not be enough time to answer the call, it is recommended to increase this duration for better Desktop App operation.
- Use the search bar or open the Settings or System page
- Navigate to "Accessibility"
- Open "Visual Effects"
- Modify "Dismiss Notifications after this amount of time" to your desired duration (recommended at least 15 seconds)
This adjustment ensures that notifications from the VANTACT Desktop app remain visible for your chosen duration, enhancing your ability to respond promptly to incoming calls and notifications.
