Managing Your Extension: A Guide to Editing and Customizing Settings on the Vantact Portal

To edit your extension information on the Vantact portal, follow these steps:

  1. Log into the Vantact Portal:

  2. Access Phone System Settings:

    • Click on the PHONE SYSTEM tab.

  3. Manage PBX:

    • Select Manage PBX to view and manage your PBX settings.

  4. Edit Extension Settings:

    • Locate your extension from the list and click on Settings.

  5. Update Extension Details:

    • Here are the fields you can edit for your extension:
      • First Name: Enter the first name associated with the extension.
      • Last Name: Enter the last name associated with the extension.
      • Block Outgoing Caller-ID: Toggle this option to prevent your number from displaying when making outgoing calls.
      • Do-Not-Disturb (DND): Enable this option to block incoming calls to your extension.
      • Cell Phone Number: Enter your cell phone number for call forwarding and integration with system features.
      • Call Forward All Calls: Direct all calls to another number without using hyphens or parentheses.
      • Call Forward When Busy: Forward calls to a specified number when your extension is busy.
      • Call Forward on No Answer: Forward calls if they are not answered on your desk phone or app.
      • Special Menu for Cell Phone Calls: Enable a special menu when receiving calls on your cell phone from the system.
      • IVR Greeting for Cell Calls: Customize the greeting when calling your IVR from your cell phone.
      • Email Address: Enter your email for PBX notifications and voicemail delivery.
      • Send Email on Missed Calls: Receive an email notification for missed calls if your email address is entered.
      • Send Mailbox Messages by Email: Receive voicemail messages as WAV files directly to your email.

  6. Save Changes:

    • After making your edits, remember to save the changes to update your extension information.

These steps allow you to customize and manage various settings associated with your extension on the Vantact portal, enhancing your communication preferences and workflow efficiency.
