Registering Cloud Softphone via image
Instructions for Android and iOS below
Android
Receive the QR code for your extensions:
- QR code should be sent from the system or from a support agent to your email
- Locate the QR code in the image
- Copy and save this image (ensure a copy is accessible on your phone)
- To ensure QR code legibility, it is recommended to take a screenshot/crop the QR code such that there is white space outlining it and it can be read by the application
Download the Cloud Softphone Application:
- Download for IOS or Android
- Launch the Cloud Softphone application
- Select "Scan QR" and grant requested access, either "only this time" or "while using the app"
- You should now see the camera open allowing you to scan the QR code or in this scenario select an existing image to scan
- Select the image icon in the top right
- Navigate and select the directory where you have saved the QR code on your device (could be in images, screenshots, downloads etc.)
- Folders can be explored by selecting the three lines in the top left of the screen
- Select your QR code and it should begin registration.
- Registration will be successful once you reach the page requesting further permissions, as seen below
Accepting requested permissions to ensure app functionality:
- Please ensure all requested permissions (except for contacts, which are optional) are granted
- One of these permissions will be about a certificate, please trust to ensure functionality
- Note that contact access is optional and the app will function even if contact permission is denied
Confirming registration:
- Once all permissions have been granted you should now be at the homepage which displays a dial pad
- On the top left the "Status" should be shown
- The "Status" can be confirmed as registered if it is green
- The "Status" can also be clicked to confirm it is registered
iOS

If you have followed all these steps, you will have successfully registered your extension on the Cloud Softphone and can begin making and receiving calls.
