Common Star/Feature Codes

Features can be toggled on or off using star codes, which is dialing * followed by a number sequence which may be the stand-alone code or the code followed by a number or extension. Listed below are commonly used star/feature codes.

Transfer
*77Sends an active call to another extension or external number. Both blind and attended transfers are supported, and a destination number is required after the code.For a blind transfer: while on an active call, dial *77, then dial the extension or number to transfer to, and hang up. The call will transfer immediately.
For an attended transfer: place the active call on hold, dial *77 followed by the destination extension or number, and once the destination answers, press the transfer button twice to connect both parties.
Parking
*85Places an active call into a shared holding location (a parking slot) so it can be picked up from any other extension.While on an active call, dial *85. Enter a parking slot number and press confirm to choose a specific slot, or press confirm alone to let the system assign the next available slot. The system announces the parking slot, and the call remains held there until retrieved.
*86Picks up a call that was previously placed into a parking slot using Call Park.Dial *86, then enter the parking slot number the call was parked under and press confirm. If no parking slot number is entered, it will attempt to pick up from the first occupied parking slot.
*87Allows a user to answer a ringing phone from another extension, including calls in ring groups.For a directed pickup: dial *87, dial the extension on which the call is ringing, and press confirm.
For a general pickup: dial *87 and press confirm without specifying an extension.
Voicemail
*97Accesses the extension's voicemail box directly.Dial *97, then enter your PIN if prompted (default is 4268).
*98Records or updates the greeting callers hear when they reach voicemail.Dial *98, enter your PIN if prompted (default is 4268), and follow the voice prompts.
Call Forwarding
*71Forwards all incoming calls to another number or extension, unconditionally. A destination number is required after the code.Dial *71, then dial the extension or phone number to forward calls to, confirming with # if prompted.
*72Turns off Call Forward All so the extension rings normally again.Dial *72. No additional digits are required.
DND
*78Enables Do Not Disturb. Incoming calls do not ring the extension and instead route to voicemail or another configured destination.Dial *78.
*79Disables Do Not Disturb, restoring normal ringing.Dial *79.
Call Codes
*66Automatically redials the last number dialed from the extension, without needing to re-enter the digits.Dial *66. The system places a call to the last number dialed from that extension.
*69Calls back the most recent caller who called the extension.Dial *69. The system places a call to the number of the last incoming call received. If the last incoming call did not have caller ID information available, Call Return may not be able to complete the call.
*67 activate / *68 deactivatePrevents the extension's caller ID (name and number) from being displayed to the person being called.To activate, dial *67 and outbound calls from the extension will show as blocked/anonymous to recipients.
To deactivate, dial *68 and outbound calls will display caller ID normally again.
Recording
*93Starts recording of the active call.Dial *93 during an active call. No additional digits are required.
*94Stops recording of the active call.Dial *94 during an active call. No additional digits are required.
